The thin spaces are the ones where we become the creators of our reality. They are the ones frome where we fill the world with our unconditional
presence, our love, our playfulness, our silence, our connection. Those are the most REAL moments that I know.
Those are the moments REALLY worth capturing.

My Story:
'Hey Simon, I heard you're in the area... I'd need some pictures for a Magazine cover rather soon, do you have an hour spare time this week?' This was about the briefing that i got... no idea what's happening, what the deal was, what the expectations were.
When she told me it was for a cover of an big UK Yoga Magazine I was a bit intimidated in the beginning, not only due to the given timeframe. But then, why not?!
So I came to her place, spent half an hour strolling around in her garden, spotting some scenes while she got 2 outfits and then we just went for it...
...and were equally surprised about each other how easy going, quick, flowing and relaxed it was. Even more after reviewing the results we were both happily surprised about each others efficiency given the circumstances.
I'd do it again!
Kesaris' Story:
I've already had the pleasure of having two photo shoots with Simon. Once for the cover shoot of the biggest yoga magazine in England.
Working with him was highly professional and yet very relaxed. With his calm, friendly manner, Simon manages to make you almost forget about the camera.
You feel more like you are at a meeting with a friend and wonderful pictures are created along the way.
I can particularly recommend Simon to people who are not used to being in front of the camera.
Many thanks to you, Simon.

Discovering those special places is one of the big treats being allowed to live with this woman / lady / quinn (to those who know Terry Pratchett) / racoon and I LOVE IT so much there is no chance words can capture this!
And when we go out shooting it's always a special time for us...
A dance with and around our flow of our individual creativity process, catalysing each other and pretty much always celebrating the results.
And in the 'worst' case we had a nice day outside in a beautiful place.
Reflecting on the multitude of experiences, challenges, laughs and loves I always find myself smiling and celebrating our life...

Random encounter in Costa Rica, living in neighbouring bungalows in the jungle: an american singer-songwriter and a german photo-videographer:
'Hey I'm about to finish my album that i will be recording in the studio soon and will release my favourite song as single. I'd love to do a little live video for it featuring some of this amazing nature here!'
Well, yes, of course, me too!
This encounter and request actually reminded me of my almost forgotten passion and connection to music and how much i enjoyed moving, observing, capturing in silent moves around the main actor.
Thank you for this amazing little project, I loved and still love it!

When spending time together on regular beach strolls ideas jump from head to head and eventually form into pictures.
Into a new perspective onto oneself, onto ourselves, onto our surroundings when we go and play with it...
...or when we have to accept that it also play with us and it's hard to plan and time the shooting in a way to get stuff done before we get washed.
Or we just surrender to the washing and go and have fun with it. This one was immense fun! Thanks you from all my heart! ;)

With friends, especially if they as close as those two, it's really special going for a shoot.
Such shoots do have their very own highlights and challenges. Resistances, shame, shamlessness, unconditional fun and experimentality all in one pot, bouncing between us, always holding and supporting each other on the various levels.
Mainly having fun, dancing in the light, learning and growing together on every occasion on manymanymany loving levels!

This noble place with direct view onto the lake Starnberg near Munich does have a unique relaxing atmosphere among ancient oaks, open fields and Demeter vegetable garden for the kitchen.
The goal was to transport the feeling that awaits and invites the guests here.

A shooting with Anja would definitely be as outside as possible, especially as she is living in the Allgäu with its mountains, rivers, waterfalls that she is so connected to. The dog Enzo strolling around and sneaking into pictures quite some time we're always playing with the elements, their transcendence, their thin layers, our thin layers.

Somehow the whole region does have magnetism and a positive gravitational field for very special people. Visiting friends, strolling happily through the little village, of course the puppies did their job really well, I mean... 8 little fur-balls with a serious lack of being cuddled, you know how this works, right?
Some three hours later we left with an amazingly familiar encounter, a new project, two invitations and an incredibly light-full feeling of being on the right track of life, just right where we were and how we were and what we did and how we do this in this world.
Within a week and another visit there were another couple of new (old) friendships and encounters and projects that left us totally amazed and grateful to experience how it feels when things really really really feel like they flow...

This was definitely one of the most interesting locations that was allowed to set foot on. The glass and tarpauline part of the roof of the munich airport.
Every time I'm there now there is this little proud look up with the silent voice 'I've been up there! Yeah!'

Getting to stroll around one of the most amazing and iconic places for climbing with a bunch of top-notch climbers?
It was definitely hard to having to stick to the camera instead of just cragging with them, but then also probably i wouldn't have had much of a mission in the routes we went to, even if it looked mostly super relaxed... hahaaa... yeahyeah...
What a bunch of amazingly relaxed down to earth guys'n'gals so amazingly strong and playful on all kinds of rock! Huuuuge pleasure to be out there with them!!

'The printing deadline is in ....n...coupleof...nnn... soooon, but we only have this sample here. Can you photoshop something?!' Was sometimes the call. Not always, right, still so often that it got burnt in somehow.
But then also i enjoyed this 'excuse' to go hide and focus in the little photo-box that we had with some fishing-line, a box of coat-hangers, paper-clips, and yes, some proper photo-equipment as well... true.
The harness had three different colors, the leg-loops were too small and wrongly coloured, so i shot the other harness for the leg-loops, the rope loop was something totally different, and then i would be beautiful if this webbing could be playing up in the air somehow!
Yeah-riiight... getting this angle etc right was... well... nevermind, it worked out somehow. Still a bit proud of it i have to admit... ;)

We got this invitation for giving a workshop at this little festival that we never heard of, but both organizers quite instantly felt so familiar and at home that it was out of question that we'd love to be there. And it was more than worth it!
so much beauty and love around without being haughty or anything else too 'spiritual' was amazingly falling out of a cliche that definitely exists, but had no place here in this amazingly rooted and healthy atmosphere.
The festival is on pause unfortunately, but some connections are still active and there even after two years... wow!

'In there it's like the world is shifting.' said a little girl coming out of the (big) barn where the main stage was set as part of the old four-side-farm in Austria where Paul Zauner is organising this extremely exquisite festival already since decades.

I really always called myself a not-people-photographer for a couple of reasons.
1) you have to deal with people, which i did not want to do for a long time for a multitude of reasons. Obligations to ask permission, not wanting to deal with masks and facades that people put onto themselves, etc...
2) not wanting to having to live up to other peoples expectations. Especially around weddings. The one special day of a lifetime and what if you miss THE moment?!
3) I really didn't feel like i was ready to feel confident about what i can do with the camera. So a solid portion of shame and lack of self-confidence was in the pot as well.
And then of course it happend what had to happen... friends and family started to ask if i could take some pictures... 'mmmnnngngnggaaaaOkkkish (?)' Damnit, a serious lack of not being able to say clearly but lovingly NO pushed some buttons as well and there I was. On the wedding of some friends. And then... surprisingly I found that there was already enough self-confidence established, enough boldness, enough detachment from other peoples expectations, that i just dove into my viewfinder and my own flow, and enjoyed the day!
Before going through the pictures the first time my brain of course was full of 'I missed this that' and 'there i should have been earlier or closer or whatever...' Just to find myself finding out, that wedding photography somehow seems to be really easy going! Nice people on a beautiful day for a really special occasion tends to be the easiest thing to shoot, even if you think you missed so much that you perceived, there are soooo many amazing shots that the missing out monster went quite silent rather quickly. It still likes to poke it's head out every now and then, but i learned to welcome it and unwind the energy that it likes to wrap into as disguise and re-wind it into faces, funny moves, unconventional poses and places to just enjoy a beautiful day with beautiful people and then beautiful pictures are sort of the by-product anyways.
This is what happens, when beautiful people with beautiful voices, skills, tastes come together at the beach with a bunch of instruments packed on the open stage...
That's how things flow!

The BGO da! is a cooperative in a very special area in the alps, specifically in South Tirol in northern Italy.
It is an association of traditional agricultural farms of all kinds, all with the main objective 'good life for everybody'. And everything starts with the food. Pesticide free food!
Often grown and processed within socially integrating structures, locally marketed in all of natures forms, colours, tastes, smells.
It is a connection of incredibly inspiring people, often rather young, with high standards for themselves and for this society.

A slideshow for the newly curated permanent exhibition in a local museum should show the differences and similarities between the local National park and the surrounding Nature park. Both used and inhabited in terms of forestry, tourism, agriculture, but with slightly different perspectives, intentions and boundaries.
So i had the pleasure to get up really early to meet with the local lumberjacks in the National park for their morning briefing and the start of their day.
Apart from the beauty of the early hour in the first hazy misty light it was incredible to see how incredibly efficient and well planend and routined the guys work between and around falling trees...

During 1,5 years of travelling you meet some people of course. But not all stay with you somehow like Caitlin did, who me got to know in Costa Rica during a yoga retreat. We really enjoyed her wild, playful, happy life-force there already. That's just something that reminds you of life in general, and maybe even sometime of HOW-TO live to the fullest. At least that's what I took with me.
Staying in loose contact along the road we were incredibly delighted to hear from her that she was about to distill this into a project in Guatemala, and when we ended up there (again) of course we wanted to meet again!
And then we found ourselves in this amazing place that she just bought and started to develop with local food (partly directly from the land) and kitchen, weaving into the local community as well as just creating a place within nature to just stay and enjoy.

After/within a solid Burnout I decided that I would not have to start a new job directly again and there was not enough energy to organize stuff, to deal with visa, blablabla. So I started to look around Europe, and with a little hint and a contact from a close friend in Portugal the decision was made. Also because I got the chance for a ride down with a friend in her van.
This whole time was set under the star of leaving old selves behind and opening to new possibilities. In Portugal it all condensed into
- new language
- new sport (surfing)
- new hand-craft (building wooden surfboards)
In reflection i always told people that in those ten months I caught up on the last ten years of lack of sleep, and the last ten years of unresolved emotional and psychological processes. Clearing a lot of old stuff out... also physically... keywords were: salads, surfing and meditation.
Well... but in the cold atlantic water there needs to be some solid nutrition as well, and roughly adding up our shopping over some months the most astonishing figure was that we used 32 liters of (good) olive oil (in salads and being with an italian, dipping bread). Yeahyeah, some 50kg or Oranges, 40kg or Avocados etc as well but seriously, 32 LITERS of olive oil?! Joup... seems like it, there was clear evidence in bills and empty canisters. Well, ok then, seemed like a really good idea.

It's a kinder-garden, yeah sure...
all forest, Tipi, river, insect-hotel, weather-rocks, dream-catchers, bee-hives, vegetable and potato garden, work-bench.
My niece Ida showed us around for two hours in the yellow rubber pants with rubber boots (pretty much the one-and-only dress-code there) in this piece amazing piece of wood.
The children are growing into self-responsible beings there. The kindergartners are literally only around to take action if something goes wrong or to show the little ones how something is done. Otherwise they enjoy themselves out there.
Really the most amazing place that I've seen for children. I wanna be there too...!!

A bunch of wonderful people coming together to focus on the meditation practice, but at the same time keeping up 'everyday' life with building businesses, online meetings etc was the base for this little weekend mission to this special place in a little 'secret' valley.
We just wanted to see what happens there if we set up some chairs, cameras, microphones and instruments in this greek dome building.
With the first sounds in there things took it's very own path into expression... ;)

Mountainbiking became one of my main playgrounds for exploring myself and my limits very early. And it still is, but today rather in the real mountains with proper bikes, often on the back, because walking downhill somehow seems just a somewhat stupid concept in general.
A real lifetime experience was an exploration testing for a potentially to-be-guided route in the alps, starting in Austria, touching Slowenia, going into Italy. Changing languages, changing geology, changing people, changing food, changing speed. 6 days full on proper MOUNTAIN biking.
'You're going to Mexico? You better bring a gun!'
And such things you hear a lot just before the border of Mexico... and even more so... TIJUANA... legendary scary Tijuana... supposedly 'under control' right now by gangs. We in our big white Ford Pickup... well... prejudice jungle at it's best!
And then... a 6 lane queue, a quick sniff by a dog, a cold welcome, a big colourful sign 'welcome to Tijuana' TaDaaaaa... Mexico... but wait a minute... don't we need some kind of stamp in our passport in order to have everything correct with our ESTA etc?
Stumbling over ALL of the prejudices we made our way through the border, got all the papers for the car, our holy stamp in the passport, and then we were already late and drove into the niiiiiggghhtt in Meeeexxxiiccoooo
With the address from iOverlander we even got picked up ('because our car looked like a christmas tree and went around in circles...') in the hills of Baja by this mexican Cowboy. And with our stay there for a couple of days and his incredibly loving, welcoming, energetic and happy nature he managed to turn our picture of Mexico right around solid and straight 180°. We really didn't want to leave and reallyreally want to come back to this magic little valley in Baja California!

Climbing came into my world as an immense inspiration of people, of community, of enjoying to just be outside, bivying under a rock, exploring new places, having gear that works with a backpack that you could travel with. Even if it was a disguised 30kg hand luggage sometimes, but travelable nevertheless.
Eventually it actually became a profession, not as an athlete, not determinedly strong enough for that, but as a gear nerd technical developer. This was feeding the nerd even more, combining it with the explorer, always testing new (veryvery uncertified, clearly marked as 'sample, no ppe!') gear outside. Exciting time on a lot of levels!
Even if it's not as present anymore as it used to be, and not as life purpose providing as it was at the time, every time I stroll into a boulder field or get to a crag, the body still remembers this prickly sensation of excitement, of static tension, of slow and beautiful moves, of cruising up a route, of feeling stroooong. Okay, sometimes very weak and heavy as well, but hey, that's part of the game!

The outside in all it's facettes, it's changing of seasons, of conditions, of terrain, of steepness, of fluffiness, of harshness, of light, of dark... Winter / snow is clearly part of this whole Mandala of colors, shades, pigments and structures.
Sometimes just in the form in international sign for 'waist-deep powder, spray over the head', sometimes with the nasty sound of cccccchhhrhrrrrr under your boot and you wished for sharper edges and stiffer skis, sometimes with a discomforting gurgeling behind an ice courtain that you just placed an ice-screw in and build an anchor with your tools.
And sometimes with the most incredible views and lights (because you better get up sh*** early to have enough time to get back down as well) in stunning landscapes. Seriously, our world is so DAMN beautiful...

City trips don't happen often for me, but this one was special in a lot of ways.
Exhibitions around the Documenta.
Bars in slightly punk quarters.
Thievery Corporation on a huge stage.
This is definitely one of the memorable trips, even if it was to a city...
During a retreat in Costa Rica we attended a cacao ceremony that took the whole day.
We were taken through the history, the production, the subtleties in tastes all the way through to tea from husks, normally burnt as trash, after roasting beans ourselves, grinding it multiple times by hand, and finally cooking it with water only, as pure as possible.
It's been the best cacao that i ever had anywhere anytime...

This is about what's happening when you throw together a bunch of generally open souls that are somehow focussing on sitting and meditating, but then also not take themselves too serious and start to play 'stupid' childrens circus games at the beach...
...Chakras are centers of energy, and opening the Clown Chakra certainly can release quite a lot of life energy.
That's exactly what this world needs right now...
How much can happen in one year?!

so fast, so much, so colourful, so painful, so joyful, so challenging, so fulfilling, so playful.

Legal basis for the processing
Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, as is the case, for example, when processing operations are necessary for the supply of goods or to provide any other service, the processing is based on Article 6(1) lit. b GDPR. The same applies to such processing operations which are necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures, for example in the case of inquiries concerning our products or services. Is our company subject to a legal obligation by which processing of personal data is required, such as for the fulfillment of tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6(1) lit. c GDPR. In rare cases, the processing of personal data may be necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person. This would be the case, for example, if a visitor were injured in our company and his name, age, health insurance data or other vital information would have to be passed on to a doctor, hospital or other third party. Then the processing would be based on Art. 6(1) lit. d GDPR. Finally, processing operations could be based on Article 6(1) lit. f GDPR. This legal basis is used for processing operations which are not covered by any of the abovementioned legal grounds, if processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data. Such processing operations are particularly permissible because they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislator. He considered that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the data subject is a client of the controller (Recital 47 Sentence 2 GDPR).14. The legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party
Where the processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1) lit. f GDPR our legitimate interest is to carry out our business in favor of the well-being of all our employees and the shareholders.15. Period for which the personal data will be stored
The criteria used to determine the period of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After expiration of that period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or the initiation of a contract.16. Provision of personal data as statutory or contractual requirement; Requirement necessary to enter into a contract; Obligation of the data subject to provide the personal data; possible consequences of failure to provide such data
We clarify that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or can also result from contractual provisions (e.g. information on the contractual partner). Sometimes it may be necessary to conclude a contract that the data subject provides us with personal data, which must subsequently be processed by us. The data subject is, for example, obliged to provide us with personal data when our company signs a contract with him or her. The non-provision of the personal data would have the consequence that the contract with the data subject could not be concluded. Before personal data is provided by the data subject, the data subject must contact any employee. The employee clarifies to the data subject whether the provision of the personal data is required by law or contract or is necessary for the conclusion of the contract, whether there is an obligation to provide the personal data and the consequences of non-provision of the personal data.17. Existence of automated decision-making
