The outside in all it's facettes, it's changing of seasons, of conditions, of terrain, of steepness, of fluffiness, of harshness, of light, of dark... Winter / snow is clearly part of this whole Mandala of colors, shades, pigments and structures. Sometimes just in the form in international sign for 'waist-deep powder, spray over the head', sometimes with the nasty sound of cccccchhhrhrrrrr under your boot and you wished for sharper edges and stiffer skis, sometimes with a discomforting gurgeling behind an ice courtain that you just placed an ice-screw in and build an anchor with your tools. And sometimes with the most incredible views and lights (because you better get up sh*** early to have enough time to get back down as well) in stunning landscapes. Seriously, our world is so DAMN beautiful...
